How to Use the Gusto Integration

How to get set up and export time from ClockShark to Gusto!

If you use Gusto for your Payroll and HR needs, you can send the time tracked from ClockShark directly into your Gusto account. This integration helps saves time by eliminating manual entry.

Set up the integration

Make sure you have a Gusto account before setting up the integration.

  3. Click Yes, I already have a Gusto account. Let’s go!
  4. Log in with your account details and click Authorize.
  5. Click View & Edit Existing Mappings to manage mappings between your ClockShark and Gusto employees.

Export time

After the integration is set up, you can export time from ClockShark to Gusto.

To export time:

  1. Go to Time > View.
  2. Click Export to Gusto.
  3. Select a Date Range.
  4. If any pay periods or employees within the date range do not match the pay periods and employees in Gusto, you will receive an error.
  5. After reviewing how many time activities will be exported, click Export.

The hours exported from ClockShark will be available in Gusto right away. If the default hours set up in Gusto are different from the hours in ClockShark, the ClockShark hours will overwrite the default Gusto hours.

Note: Time for salaried employees cannot be exported. If you want to use this integration for salaried employees, you can change them to be hourly employees but set their wage to be a yearly amount. Gusto also has a separate method for paying contractors and contractors are not supported with this integration.
