How to Use Missing Break Timesheet Alerts

The Missing Break Timesheet Alert helps ClockShark Admins identify shifts where employees may have worked without the legally required breaks, particularly useful for staying compliant with California labor laws.

Administrators can identify when employees may have worked without the legally required breaks. Set up missing break alerts and then view alerts on the timesheets page, in notifications, or through reports.

ClockShark will identify a missing break alert if:

  • An employee works more than 5 consecutive hours without a 30-minute break
  • An employee works more than 10 consecutive hours without two 30-minute breaks
