How to Map Employees from Xero to ClockShark

Details on connecting your employees in Xero with your employees in ClockShark

Note: The Xero integration is not available for New Zealand and UK customers.

While you set up the Xero integration, you need to map employees so that you can export time from ClockShark to Xero to the correct employees.

You can map employees automatically based on their email address or manually select employees when mapping.

Map employees automatically

As long as your employees in Xero and your employees in ClockShark have the exact same email address, they can be mapped automatically.

To map employees automatically:

  1. Go to Admin > Integrations.
  2. Under Xero, click Manage Xero.
  3. Click View & Edit Mappings in the bottom left.
  4. Click Sync Xero Employees.
  5. Make sure the Auto Map check box is selected.
  6. Click Sync Employees.

The employee from Xero is listed on the left, and the corresponding employee from ClockShark is listed on the right.

Map employees manually

If your employees in Xero and your employees in ClockShark have different email addresses or can’t be automatically mapped, you can map them manually.

To map employees manually:

  1. Go to Admin > Integrations.
  2. Under Xero, click Manage Xero.
  3. Click View & Edit Mappings in the bottom left.
  4. Click the pencil icon next to an employee and manually choose the corresponding employee in the drop-down menu.
  5. Click Update Mapping.

The employee from Xero is listed on the left, and the corresponding employee from ClockShark is listed on the right.
