How to Map ClockShark Overtime to Simpro Schedule Rates
Map your overtime classifications to Simpro schedule rates so the right rate is applied to each block when you export time
ClockShark can automatically apply Simpro schedule rates to your exported time based on how each hour is classified (Regular, Overtime, or Double Time). Once you map your ClockShark overtime classifications to Simpro schedule rates, exported time is split by classification and each block is sent with the correct schedule rate. Learn more about the integration in Set Up the Simpro Premium Integration.
Note: The ClockShark and Simpro Premium integration is only available with the ClockShark Pro plan. Make sure your overtime policies are configured in ClockShark before mapping schedule rates so that hours are classified the way you expect.
Map your schedule rates
- In ClockShark, go to Integrations and open the Simpro integration settings page.
- Find the Schedule Rates section. You'll see three dropdowns: Regular Hours, Overtime Hours, and Doubletime Hours.
- Select the Simpro schedule rate that should apply to each classification. Mappings are optional. You can configure some, all, or none.
- Note: Only schedule rates that exist in your Simpro build appear in the dropdowns. Archived schedule rates are excluded automatically.
- Click Save Settings. Your mappings are saved and applied the next time you export time.
Refresh your schedule rates from Simpro
ClockShark automatically pulls the latest schedule rates from Simpro during the regular integration sync. If you've just added a new schedule rate in Simpro and want to use it right away:
- In ClockShark, go to the Simpro integration settings page.
- Click Refresh Schedule Rates.
- The new rate appears in your dropdown options immediately.
How time is exported
When you export time to Simpro:
- Each employee's daily hours are split into separate time blocks by overtime classification (Regular, Overtime, Double Time) based on your ClockShark overtime policies.
- Each block is exported to Simpro with the schedule rate you mapped to that classification.
- If a classification has no mapping configured, the schedule rate that's already on the matching schedule entry in Simpro is preserved.
Note: Schedule rates that you've already assigned to a schedule entry in Simpro are no longer overwritten when ClockShark re-exports time. If a block has a different start or end time than what was previously exported, the rate from the most closely overlapping existing block is carried forward.
