How to Fix Unapproved Time
You may notice some shifts get marked with an error called Unapproved Time and come up as "0 hours" even when employees have clearly worked a full shift. This means that the day was previously approved, and now an employee has tracked time against it. Since you already marked that time period as approved, this locks down the date range as does not allow anymore edits, new shifts, new PTO requests, or anything to alter the hours for that week. This is great because you know after approval that everything will stay secure and accurate. 🔒
Sometimes plans change though and you do need shifts to count after approval. No problem! In order to fix this, it is a super easy 3 step process:
- Simply unapprove the time ❌
- Edit the shift to dismiss the error 📝
- Then reapprove the time! ✅
That's all there is to it. Now you are back on your way with the correct time and hours and peace of mind knowing that it is in your control.
