Q) What plans have access to use ClockShark Payments?

A) ClockShark Payments powered by Chase is an available feature for US Customers on the Standard and Pro Plans. The Pro plan allows you to take charge of your business from start to finish with the ClockShark All-In-One Platform, learn more here.

Q) What are the fees for using ClockShark Payments?

A) ClockShark Payments powered by Chase charges the merchant a processing fee for each transaction of 2.9% plus $0.30.

Q) How do I sign up for ClockShark Payments?

A) You can sign up for ClockShark Payments under the Quotes, Invoices, and Payments settings area which can be found here. We will walk you through the process to sign up, this will require an account set up for Chase's secure payment processor. Read this help article for more information.

Q) Why does Chase's secure payment processor need my Social Security Number?

A) Chase's secure payment processor uses your Social Security Number (SSN) as part of its identity verification program. They verify the identity of each user of the service in order to manage risk and comply with anti-money laundering laws. If you are acting on behalf of an entity with an Employer Identification Number (EIN), Chase's secure payment processor requires your SSN so that they can verify who you are and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the entity.

Q) How do my customers pay me?

A) When you send your customers an Invoice, they will receive an email with a link to view the Invoice online. Here they can review the Invoice and pay it all at once just by entering in their payment information. You can also view the Invoice online by previewing the Invoice as the customer and pay on behalf of them if needed.

Q) How long does it take for my customer's payments to be processed?

A) All payments are reviewed to prevent fraud. Payments will stay in this Pending state on average for 1-2 business days. Once the payment is complete, it will be available for the next payout into your bank account.

Q) When will I see money in my bank account?

A) When you sign up for ClockShark Payments, you'll be able to choose when your want your payout settlement to take place. The options are daily, weekly (every Monday), or monthly (1st of every month). Once the payout settlement initiates, Chase accounts will have same-day access to funds while other bank accounts should be processed in 2-5 days.

Q) How do I process a refund?

A) To refund on Chase's secure payment processor, click on the Reporting tab on the left. Then select the payment you would like to refund and press the red Issue Refund button. Refunds will take 3-7 days to appear back to the customer.

Note: On Chase's secure payment processor you can only process full refunds. To refund a partial amount, reach out to their support team. For recording manual refunds in ClockShark, check out this help article.
