Hi, thanks for the feedback. We’re always working on ways to improve GPS accuracy and performance. To a certain degree, the ClockShark app is reliant on the device itself in this regard.In terms of the update interval, 3-4 times per hour is used currently to minimize battery drain and create the best overall balance of system performance.
The app will collect location updates at 15 minute intervals while the employee is clocked in. Continuous tracking will quickly use a mobile battery, so that is why the interval is set to 15 minutes.
If you aren’t seeing any GPS Data for employees, please reach out to our happy-to-help Customer Service team, and they can assist in understanding why the GPS data isn’t arriving. It definitely should be.

Reading this idea, and all the comments below, I can see that the consensus is that administrators would like a way to designate an Off/Holiday/PTO day, without having to insert any time for an employee. Currently, in ClockShark there is an available workaround that’s equivalent to the feature being requested.

Be able to add notes with out logging hours
Agreed, it would be very helpful to add notes to days employees call off or don't show.
Mileage tracking is something that we do hear a fair number of you requesting, so it’s something we’ll consider adding to ClockShark on a future update. Current feature addition projects are taking priority, so if you like this idea then please vote in with your support.
Hi there, this is an idea we are considering for a future update. In the meantime, there is a Spanish language getting started guide available. Email or chat with us, and we’ll send you a copy. We don’t make it readily available because our experience has been that most spanish speakers are able to figure out the app and navigate around in it without too many issues.
Hi! We’ve recently added a signature line to the TIme Sheets report so if you print that report you will be able to have employees sign the printed time sheet. We realize that having an in-app approval process would be more ideal, so its something we are considering adding on an upcoming release. Thanks for the suggestions!
We would like an in app approval so the employees don't have to travel to the main office just to sign their time sheets.

Depending on what information needs to be communicated to employees (schedule changes, upcoming job start time), there may already be a notification available in ClockShark. Feel free to check out http://help.clockshark.com/knowledgebase/articles/1133746-using-notifications to see how those notifications suit your needs. :)
Regarding the ability to craft particular messages and send them directly through the app, this is a request that we are hearing more-and-more. I’m sharing this with our development team, and we’ll continue to monitor the votes here for this idea, so we can know when we should add that for you.
