I suggest you ...

Add the ability to insert a note on a specific day, without having to add time. Such as when an employee takes a vacation day or is sick.

For example,
John Smith, did not work. On vacation today.
or John Smith, did not work. Took personal day.
Something to have a reference for that particular day.

Thanks for sharing your support for this idea here! As support continues to mount for this idea, our development team will plan how to bring this to you in ClockShark. :)

Reading this idea, and all the comments below, I can see that the consensus is that administrators would like a way to designate an Off/Holiday/PTO day, without having to insert any time for an employee. Currently, in ClockShark there is an available workaround that’s equivalent to the feature being requested.

If you’d like to see how to designate that an employee will be taking (or took) a day off, Morgan from our Customer Success team explains how to do that here: https://soapbox.wistia.com/videos/SkNhqgi9Kc

Feel free to let me know if this video is helpful, or if you have any other suggestions/ideas regarding how we can improve ClockShark for you. I love hearing your ideas.

When you put Leave, be it sick, Holiday, or public holidays in the Schedule it should feed direct into timesheets so you dont have to re-enter.

Be able to add notes with out logging hours

I have my guys just clock in at 0800 and out at 0801 but they leave a note as to what the issue is.

Agreed, it would be very helpful to add notes to days employees call off or don't show.

Would like to be able to make notes when am employee is off that day. You have to add time to be able to do that

Add notes for employees without having to clock in time. (sick days, holiday or just days off)

My company also needs this. Need functionality to add vacation and sick days. Very weird not to have these options since vacation and sick days are pretty common in today's workplaces.

This would help tremendously when creating schedules. I have to currently create a paper version so I could write everyone's day off or vacation time on a makeshift calendar, then enter said schedules into Clockshark schedule....Double work!!! C'mon get it done already--Please.

this is a great idea, i get tired of having to go back and add time and details. it would be so much nicer to just be able to select the day and leave a note.

This would be so helpful and save me a ton of time contacting employees and/or supervisors to find out why an employee was not working.

Add the option for Days Off so we don't have to call Every crew leader and make sure they didn't forget to clock someone in.

We definitely need a feature to indicate that an employee was off on a particular day. I get a weekly recap email that currently shows that my company is "saving" 2.05 hours and $898.80 a week by using ClockShark.

What it doesn't account for, is the 3-4 hours I spend every Monday, calling each supervisor in the field to find out if a certain employee was on their crew on a specific day last week and if they were off or just got overlooked.

Right now, we just cut the payroll checks and then wait to hear the complaint and manually add more hours the following week. This is snowballing and needs a resolution. All I need is a BIG RED X simply stating that someone was off and I don't need to call five supervisors statewide.

This really needs to be added ASAP!

It would be nice to have a day off/vacation/sick day feature to fill the schedule with when an employee is off work for those reasons on a day.

Is this ever going to be an option? Looks like comments date back almost 2 years.

The ability to Add "zero" time for employees who took a sick day or vacation day. This will help to track when an employee was not at work.

      • Anonymous commented  ·

This would be very helpful. I have to account and call anyone that is not scheduled and have to track on paper anyone taking a vacation day or sick day.
