Being able to go back and edit the "notes".19 votes
Thanks for this idea! Employee can be given permission to manually edit their time, which allows them to revisit completed timsheets and edit their notes.
Feel free to check out Admin > Employees > Edit Employee to add that permission to the employee profile.
more accurate gps. i have had issues where the guys phones gps clocks them in miles away and they are onsite the job1 vote
Hey Marcos, happy to help! What sort of issues with the GPS are you experiencing?
Please give us a call at 1.800.828.0689, or a message at email@example.com, so we can get these addressed for you.
The last project that you were working on should appear first so you don't have to search for it.1 vote
Hey Kevin, I just wanted to share with you that our latest versions of the app do have a “Recently Used” jobs filter that will push your most recently clocked-in jobs to the top of your jobs list. Will you let me know if you’re able to see that in your app?
Feel free to send me a message @ firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any additional questions.
Entering many jobs one at a time is tedious, it would be nice if you could upload basic information (job number, job name, address) with a csv file then go in and add or edit the other information.2 votes
If you have any jobs/tasks/employees in a CSV file that you would like uploaded, feel free to send a message to email@example.com and we will happily upload those for you.
Allowing the scheduler to assign a custom color to a scheduled job. Very helpful as a visual aide and for confirming scheduled work1 vote
Hey Joe :)
Did you know that when you are creating jobs, you can pick a custom color for it that will appear in the scheduler? You can find that option on the Admin > Add Jobs > Edit Jobs screen. Will you let me know if that helps you, or what you had in mind?
Be able to see the location when employees clock in and out for lunch breaks.1 vote
Post how long a break was taken during a shift.1 vote
The current time sheets make for extra data entry for those of us not using automatic Quickbooks integration. Our former time tracking software allowed us to view reports with total time per job for each employee; however clockshark breaks it down by task so we have to add up the total for the job for each staff member.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion, Sarah! It sounds like the Reports > Job Details report could be very helpful in providing the information that you need. Feel free to check that out, and if you have any other questions, or feedback on how that report presents your time information, please let me know @ firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for adding a Search feature in Jobs. An added bonus to the Search field would be that as a person begins typing, the matching options begin to populate, so a person can easily choose from the those presented.1 vote
It would be really fantastic if you guys could do some tweaking to this. Right now it's a bit of guess work as everything is lumped together. You can't tell which way is up or down so to speak.Direction and accuracy are getting lost in translation.I feel there should be a feature to enable a little more control over how many times you're able to ping a device and its accuracy. I understand the concern for battery drain when using continuous tracking, however, what if it were an option. Such as, you already have a standard preset number of hourly pings, and you sandwich them together to show trak location. The issue with this is that you cannot tell which way they are moving or what time they moved etc. because there is no separation or variance. Why not offer an option to
A) show the direction they are moving N,S,E,W
B) separate the times so they are shown accurately and not all listing the same time.
C) allow an option to activate more device pings, on demand. Essentially this allows you to have more control of the feature, and gives a secure sense of accuracy when tracking. I offer my guys an allowance for using the app, and provide chargers for them, so there's no concern for battery drainage or excuses. More control over the tracking would be really awesome if you cannot create a continuous system across the board. This app is genius and has so many amazing attributes and features, I love using it. However, the need for targeted continuous tracking is also paramount to job costing and bottom lines. Please consider this in your reviews of ideas, thanks.

I just wanted to follow up with you, Crystal, to share that we have released that new GPS Trak feature. You can read more about it here at https://www.clockshark.com/Blog/feature-update-all-new-gpstrak/ :) Feel free to let me know what you think.
Thanks so much for the feedback on the GPS fetaure, and how you would like to see it nuanced to accommodate your business needs. As a growing company, we get bigger and better when you tell us where we can improve. So thank you. We appreciate all your input, and if we add that ping frequency you requested, I’ll definitely let you know! Glad that you are loving ClockShark so far.
Custom option in "employee" settings. I imported my job list from Quickbooks and have almost 700 clients. I cannot go into each file to change. I have high profile clients that value their private information.0 votes
Thanks for sharing your dilemma, Adil. To hide your list of customers from employees who don’t need to view them, you have a couple of options.
1. You can inactivate any job that is not being worked on. That will keep it in the account, but hide it from the employees’ view in the app.
2. You can restrict access to any job on an employee-by-employee basis. Just go to Admin > Jobs > Edit > Control Access to set that up.
Feel free to let me know if this helps, or if you have any questions, we’re reachable at 1.800.828.0689.
Feedback from the field crew:
Would it be possible to set this up so that when they clock in, on their timesheet page, they can clock right into what they are already scheduled for on their schedule/ calendar?
And what about embedding a map/gps directions using what they're scheduled for as the automatic destination?1 vote
Hello Helen, thanks for the suggestion! You should be happy to hear that this is a frequently requested addition that we are already working on and will be released soon. On the map/directions part, that is already possible if the address for the Job is set in ClockShark.

Allow admin to make changes to timecards from cell phone.1 vote
My employees do not watch the instruction videos. I need a PDF I can print for them that instructs them on the basic usage of the app and what is required to use it properly. Such as "upon installing allow location services, don't turn off the app when you clock in or out, the app won't drain your battery when you're clocked in, when you clock out you won't be tracked... this will eliminate having to troubleshoot the same issues with employees and answer the same questions over and over.1 vote
Hey Dacia, thanks for your feedback. We do offer an Employee User guide that will review best practices/usage info for using the app. Feel free to give us a call @ 1.800.828.0689 or a message: email@example.com. One of our customer service team members would be very happy to share that with you.
Create admin view that you can toggle on and off inactive jobs. I would like a click box to include inactive jobs and only include active jobs by default4 votes
This isn’t a default setting, but you can sort your Admin > Jobs screen by active/inactive jobs by clicking the status column on that screen. Changing the screen view to 50 jobs at a time will show a significant number of jobs at one time.
Favorites tabs or a customizable "quick switch" type menu. Of the list of jobs and tasks at our org, many of us only use a few - there's no reason to be scrolling through every time. Help us switch around among a few tasks/jobs more quickly!1 vote
Hey Ethan, that’s a great suggestion, and I’m happy to share that now in ClockShark (the app and the website), there is a “Recently Used” filter that will show the jobs that the user most recently clocked into. Just like you said, this saves the user from navigating an entire list of jobs.
I’m happy you finally have this feature. If you have any other suggestions or ideas, I’d love to hear them.
if we can have the ability to filter out the employee's that are clock in late.1 vote
Hi, Darnika. Thanks for your suggestion, I wanted to follow up with you.
If you go to Admin > Notifications, you can enable the “Late Out” alerts, which will trigger if an employee clocks out more than 15 minutes past the scheduled end of their shift. These are very helpful in determining who is clocking out late.
If you have any questions on how those work, or even on how to set them up, please let us know at 1.800.828.0689. We’re happy to help!
there needs to be more accuracy with this tracking system. I am literally guessing more often then not where my employees are after they clock in. I have noticed a huge increase in man hours since I started using this app. I love the app, the features, the ease. However, if I cant see the route during the day it's almost useless for me. When I click on the gps links it just gives me a generalized area with no precision, and quie honestly most of the time it doesn't work. I don't want to have to revert back to contracts with a company but if the app is starting to cost me more in the end, its not a tool that will be beneficial for my company. Clock shark is a great app with great ideas, please give this much consideration. thank you

Thanks for all your feedback about the state of the GPS Trak feature. I’m so happy to share that we did (at last!) update that feature for you so that it’s immensely easier to review the employees’ GPS Data.
Let me share a link to a blog post I wrote about that new feature, and how it works: will you let me know if it helps? https://www.clockshark.com/Blog/feature-update-all-new-gpstrak/
Every feature update is connected to the feedback we get from customers, so I cannot thank you enough for your input. It motivates us to make ClockShark even better for you. If you ever have any other questions or ideas, please let me know. I love hearing them.
