Thanks for sharing your idea here on ClockShark’s voting page! As more folks vote on this suggestion, we’ll consider adding it in a future update!
You should be able to sort employees by first name, or last name. Some programs that we work with have it one way, and others have the other. I know there are work-arounds so you can have it displayed one way or the other, but you can not switch between the two... This has caused us head-aches1 vote
Hi There! On what screen would you like to sort by employee first/last name? Currently, on the Admin > Employees screen, if you click the column for the names, it will alphabetically sort them. Feel free to let me know if there is a specific screen that you’d like to do that on! :)
The ability to turn off the automatic lunch for only select people. Or, make it so it automatically adds the time when they clock out. Right now it looks like it happens at mid night? This has caused us a lot of problems.8 votes
Thanks for this suggestion! Let’s let folks vote on this, and we’ll consider adjusting that feature in a future update! :)
Add a new feature in the app which enables the employees to photograph sales receipts/tax invoices, and create a reimbursement request which is automatically sent to admin email for processing.1 vote
Hi There! Thanks for sharing your suggestion here on ClockShark’s voting page. Currently, employees can include pictures of receipts/invoices as attachments with their shift; however, your suggestion would create a notification for the Admin who could then instantly process it.
This is an excellent idea! What we’ll do is let other users join you and vote for this, and then we can consider adding it in a future update. :)
If you have any other ideas or suggestions, just let us know!
It would be great if an approve or deny feature for time off requests could be implemented. And then if there was a push notification for upcoming time off requests so that the scheduler is reminded of who needs time off when, in advance, without having to scroll through the calendar. This feature exists in other time sheet apps and is very appealing, such as SwipeClock and Namely. Right now, we are relying on multiple methods of tracking this time off along side Clock Shark and requests get overlooked this way.68 votes
Thanks for the input, everyone, on how you would like to see Vacation tracking integrated with ClockShark. It looks like this idea is very specific, and has many parts, so please keep voting and adding as much detail as possible, so we know exactly what to add for you.
As we respond to the suggestions with the most votes, we’ll keep you updated in the “comments” section. Thanks for taking the time to share the features you’d like to see added to ClockShark. :)
I would love to see a feature that allows you to overlay all employees gpsTrak info on one map, maybe give each employee a different color for their particular set of bubbles/pins/lines that show if they are all in the same place?1 vote
Hi, Angela! It’s great receiving your feedback on this idea. At the moment, when all your employees are clocked in, you can see this on the Who’s Working Now screen; and after folks clock out, you can see it individually for each employee in their TimeSheets.
Your suggestion to have a way to view all employees on one map, after they clock out, is a great one. Let’s let folks vote on it so we can consider adding it in a future update! :)
We love to hear your feedback, so if you have any other suggestions, please just let us know!
Thanks for sharing your idea here on the Voting Page! Currently, that permission is one of the remaining permissions that distinguish an Admin from a Manager. Thanks for sharing how helpful it would be to be able to clone that permission for other non-admins.
As folks vote on this idea, we will consider adding it in a future update!
Report Headings: When printing weekly reports it would be helpful if an employee has a second page there name also prints on that page.

Hi, Francine! Great to hear your feedback on ClockShark. Would you please elaborate on what this feature looks like to you? Are you looking for a roster page, that lists everyone who’s included within the reports?
Feel free to let us know any extra details, Francine, so we can consider adding this in a future update. You can message me at email@example.com if that’s more convenient for you too. :)
When you have applied filter to Scheduler, it would be easier if a button appeared for clearing filter instead of having to go into filters and deselecting and selecting All employess and apply1 vote
Hi, Erlendur! We appreciate your sharing your feedback on ClockShark’s Voting Page. I can see how helpful/quick it would be to have a “clear filter” button directly on the schedule page. We recently improved the scheduler page, and we have some additional improvements ahead so we’ll keep this in mind. :) Feel free to let me know if you have any other suggestions, Erlendur.
job time estimated as time sheet value. the clocking in as proof is most important to me, not the amount of time per se. It is useful to see if someone is performing poorly due to rushing but payment is set to an exact amount of time therefore using the job time instead of GPS time would save time in QuickBooks changing all the times to the estimated time. Ok... time out. phew.1 vote
Hey, Keith! Thanks for your suggestion and for the explanation for why it would be so helpful. Let’s let folks vote with you one this idea, so we can consider adding it in a future update. :)
Out of curiosity, have you seen the time-rounding settings inside ClockShark? You can choose 5 or 15 minutes. This might be helpful if your employees are always clocking in just a few minutes off of their scheduled times: it would just round it to them to the nearest 5/15 minutes. Feel free to let me know if you think that could help somewhat.
We are having an issue because our employees could be on multiple jobs on one day or pay period and we have to differentiate what jobs the overtime is allocated to and as far as we can tell that it just gives us the total time and does not give us the information on which job the overtime was charge to.3 votes
Thanks for this suggestion! Getting a granular view of the OT worked on jobs is something we’re already looking into, so it’s great to hear your support. Please keep voting, and we’ll consider adding this in a future update!
It would be really helpful if the payroll items could map to the job and be available for the employee to choose
It would be really helpful if the payroll items could map to the job and be available for the employee to choose. We have payroll items associated with the job they are working on. So after the import is complete I still have to go and edit the time card in Quickbooks.1 vote
Thanks for posting your idea here on the Voting Forum: we love getting your feedback! I definitely understand how having payroll items connected to ClockShark Jobs would be helpful: currently, you can map payroll items to Tasks. As a result, many of our customers will create unique service items/tasks for each job, so they can avoid having to manually add the payroll item in the timecards after export. Do you think that’s a possible solution?
Let’s let folks vote on this idea here, and we’ll consider it for a future update. :)
A way to close out the prior weeks for payroll reasons, It's easier to see what weeks have been paid if you can lock it or close it somehow, or even color code it.1 vote
Hey, James. Thanks for the suggestion! We hope to include this feature soon as part of a payroll/timesheet approvals process. We’ll keep you updated on this post as that gets complete. Glad to hear that you’ll find that feature helpful!
The term "Employees" has a very defined meaning to the government and how a company is required to report earnings and what regulations are involved. Our company uses "Independent Contractors" for field work with the associated 1099-Misc earnings reporting to the IRS. As such we do not have "Employees". It would be great if "Contractors" was a choice when adding new field workers to our company and have the associated fields within ClockShark show that term in the report headings, etc. instead of the term "Employee(s)".1 vote
Jerry, thanks for sharing your idea here on the Voting Page: we really appreciate the feedback. Thanks for explaining why an extra designation for “Contractors” would be so helpful to your company. Let’s let folks vote on this idea, and we’ll consider it for a future feature update.
Thanks for posting your idea to the Voting Forum: we’re excited to receive your feedback! :) Did you know that you can inactivate a job once it’s complete, and then reactivate it later? This will hide the job from employees, but still keep the client info in the system for reference. Feel free to reply if you think that could help, or if you’d like to share any extra details about your idea!
Set a default schedule (time) for any given job or all jobs.1 vote
Hey, Jon. Thanks for sharing your idea on the voting forum. Currently, you may notice that the default for shifts is “All Day”, but I certainly understand how it could be helpful to override this with a manual default. Let’s let folks vote on this idea, and we’ll keep you all posted on whether it’s upcoming in a future update. Thanks, Jon.
Allows for auditing of the schedule times, seeing if jobs are scheduled in a timely manner, if jobs have been rescheduled or when they were initially scheduled. Also nice to have a trail of any deleted jobs/tasks.2 votes
Hey, Kevin! Thanks for posting your idea here on the ClockShark Voting Page: we love to get your feedback so we know what to add into the software for you. Just to clarify, are you requesting a feature that keeps of edits to the schedule? Currently, you can see edits to timesheets in the Audit Log, but it sounds like you are referring more to tracking schedule changes.
Feel free to reply and let us know any extra details!
I would like to see who is not working to be able to identify if someone forgot to clock in or is late for work.
Late in notification is only for scheduled shift and we are not using that feature1 vote

It would be beneficial if I could view all scheduled jobs in a master schedule or in a tab designated to a specific client. I find working with one master schedule can look very busy as we have multiple crews working on multiple clients.1 vote

Allow users with no data on their cell phone to be able to use the app while on the job site. When they connect to wifi, all data then uploaded to Clockshark.1 vote
Hi there, the mobile app currently supports offline use for employees clocking in and out, then the times will sync when a connection returns. Some of the more advanced features do require an internet connection to function, but employees should be able to clock in and out from jobsites with no cell service with no issues! Let me know if that helps.
